In some previous posts I asked questions like "would you be angry" or what if? They were questions about how would you respond if some one said to you that I can show you something in the bible that is very misunderstood. And said most of the stories in the Bible were alagorical and that I could interpet the deeper meanings of the alogories. I never did go in to these depply, just wanted to know how people would respond. Mostly peple responded negitively even though I hadn't even chalanged their relidgion they felt I was saying to them they were wrong. So now my question is Why do you think even a question about chalangeing beleifes bring such hard critisiem?

You have to get used to it, since people come from different parts of the world and they have different interpretations or understanding about your topic. Also, you're opening up discussions in one of the most sensitive topics that are being discussed here, so most people will also respond in a defensive manner instead of being subjective. As for your part, as you accept that reality it is then up to you how you'd want to defend your post and of course do not allow them to man-handle you.

You just have get used to it. SOme people are extra sensitive about religion. Religion and politics are the two taboo topics that you should talk about it. People give you grief over it!

I agree that these topics can be sensitive, But are people so sensitive that before a statement is made they become upset? I guess some people feel so insecure in there beleives that there is no room to explore or discuss the idea that they mey not be understanding their own religion fully. Peace circuscat, thanks for posting.
