What is Death? Death is neither here nor there Death is seen most everywhere Death is not such a scary thing Death is an inevitable happening Death is not black not white Death is something in which we have a right Death is not there to fear Death is something we all should cheer Death has always been a site Death is something some people fight Death can in a way be sweet Death can be something we can cheat If I am sick and in pain Death is something I want to reign I do not want my family to mourn Cause death is something I have sworn Will be the thing we have not known Can be the thing which is our home What is Death? I do not know Death is somewhere we all will go This is not meant to be a morbid thing so please try to understand it rather then read into it. I wrote this about 18 years ago when I began writing poetry. It was published in my school newspaper in JR High and about 10 yrs ago online. Just give me your thoughts on it. Thanks
