I would feel very happy if I managed to climb the highest mountain in the world. I enjoy going up mountains and seeing the fantastic view from the very top. I went up a lovely looking mountain in Australia. Mount Warning was challenging towards the top. I was amazed by the steep and rocky top. The view was stunning and so all that climbing had been worth it.
In New Zealand I climbed up a beautiful mountain in North Land. I got to the top quite slowly along a long round and round type of route. There were the spectacular views to enjoy of the sea and a couple of little islands. I knew that a taxi was waiting for me at a particular time at the bottom of the bottom of the mountain. I was running short of time having taken so long to get up there in the first place. I therefore saw a route down that said for experienced climbers only. I was not such a type of person! But due to my time scale I had to take that much quicker route down. Oh my! It was so very steep and challenging. I found it quite amusing holding on to huge chains as I almost slid down in some places on the mountain. I felt proud to reach the bottom of the mountain safely. Next I was off to see a stunning national park and many pretty almost deserted beaches. It was such a wonderful day.
