He's FINE though! Sound somewhat familiar? Yep we're having great luck [insert major sarcasm]. Actually this accident didn't just happen, it was this morning but I was hoping he'd get back from the ospital before I posted. He's alright just a little sore and banged up so he finally gave in and went there to get checked out just to be safe. Here's what happened this time...
It was the oldest boy, he's 17. He and his girlfriend had traded vehicles for the week because hers needed some work done before winter (we didn't approve but found out they swapped too late to do anything about it). So this morning he was on his way to school with her car, lost control (he said a deer ran out and scared him [rolling my eyes]) went across the road, spun around, went over a bank and into a tree. He hit on the passenger side right in front of the door. It's crushed in almost to the middle of the windshield.
At this point all I can do is laugh...it happened on the same corner our truck got wrecked on almost 2 months ago. Only he was going in the opposite direction. He's fine, he walked away, and that's all that really matters. He'll have to replace her car but we may have that worked out already. I'm just sitting here shaking my head about all the rotten luck we've been having...although we've also had an amazing amount of good luck considering there have been 3 wrecks in 2 months time involving our vehicles and/or family members, all 3 vehicles were totalled but no one recieved any injuries beyond a few bumps, bruises and scrapes.

I'm so glad your step-son is okay! He is very lucky. Those deers can cause alot of damage, and are so deadly. That's a shame that he was in his girlfriend's car when it happened. I hope she wasn't to mad about it. I'm glad everything is okay though!

See that's just it, he says a deer scared him and caused him to lose control but he didn't hit the deer so I an't help but think he was just going to fast and lost it and just doesn't want to admit it...that's why I put in the [rolling my eyes]. II really don't are either way right now ehough...he's fine and if it was beause of him going too fast then maybe it was a lesson learned the hard way.
She's not "mad", probably a little upset that her little car that's already been through so much is finally gone, but was just glad he is alright. She was so worried she walked out of her classroom when he called her and begged the school to let her go then drove the whole hour here to make sure he was ok.

Well he'd better not make that mistake again! I thought he learned his lesson 2 months ago when he saw his buddy wreck our truck on that same corner.

Well, I am glad he is fine. So much for the few repairs the girlfriends car needed before winter, huh? You guys are luck to all be ok after all your crashes. I know how it can be driving when a deer pops onto the road all of the sudden, but I have been luck enough to not crash. *KNOCK ON WOOD*

This is weird, I know I posted comments to both responses earlier and now they are gone...
The winter repairs are certainly the least of the car's problems now! And in a way it may have been a good thing. When they did a full body scan to check for injuries they found an abnormality in his neck. It's not something caused by the accident so he will be having more tests done to check it out. I can't think of what it's called but it's affecting the place at the top of his spine where the nerves go through to his skull. It's enlarged and I guess that's bad. I'll post more about that when I get better information on it.

I am glad that your son is ok. That is the main thing. Sorry that things have been bad lately. It just seems like once things start going bad, it comes in groups. It will will get better soon though
