In need of a new dish for Thanksgiving Dinner.

I was wondering if anyone had any non-traditional dishes for Thanksgiving? I'm tired of the same old thing year after year. We normally have green bean casserole, stuffing, yams, turkey, ham, and beets. Does anyone else make anything different? I'm sure you could make just about anything but I would like it to go well with the Thanksgiving Theme. Please help.

My ooldest daughter and grand daughter always insist on me making either lasagna or homemade macaroni and cheese to go a long with the rest of the meal. My husband always insists on egg nog pie since he doesn't like pumpkin pie.

Maybe... potato pancakes? Those are pretty good for lunch, dinners and feasts! Its also fairly simple to make them since they just require some diced potatoes a little flour, a little eggs, mix up with salt and pepper. Fry them or bake them. For a vegetable try corn and/or carrots. You can mix up some cranberries/cranberry sauce in them and cook the vegatables with it. Its pretty sweet and interesting.

I always fix asparagus, ordered by my daughter. :) Turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, dinner rolls. Cranberry sauce, black olives, green olives, stuffed celery (with cream cheese), a salad and iced tea. Those are the basics. Sometimes we have sweet potatoes, sometimes not.

My stuffing is unusual, easy and delicious. Brown ground beef completely, add 1/2 cooked wild and 1/2 white rice and stuff the turkey. The amounts you use depend on how big the bird is.
