It was very chilly out last night so for supper I unthawed some Chili and had it for supper. When I eat chili I like to put sour cream in it, and chopped onions and shredded cheddar on the top. Do you eat your chilly plain or add things to it?

dear jillhill, that's so funny, because that's how i eat it!! i started doing it that way after i started buying those frozen, microwaveable burritos. i would dip them in sour creme---always!! then i started eating sour creme and chives, or scallions on top of my chili too. gotta go now and rifle through the fridge. got the munchies.

If I feel like eating them, I take them as plain or prepare and turn them into something else. Chilli sauce, chilli oil, as we even have foods here made especially out of chilli. There's also a particular place here that helds a chilli-eating competition, they use the lottle ones since the smaller the chilli the hotter they are!;)

Yummy! I like chili without beans, and I had some the other night. I wanted sour cream, but didn't have any. So I put some fritos down, the chili over it, and then shredded some cheddar cheese over that. It hit the spot!

That does sound good instead of using tortilla chips!

I love chili. I was thinking about making some today. I like shredded cheese and sliced green onions on the top of mine. I make my chili spicy. I use the tomatoes with green chilies in them. I also add extra green chilies sometimes. I serve it with warm homemade bread or cornbread.

I like my chili with sour cream and shredded cheddar cheese as well. I make mine with lots of onions, so chopped onions added isn't necessary. Sometimes I have it plain, sometimes I like it on top of rice or spaghetti. I've even used chili to make lasagna, layering lasagna noodles, chili and cheese then baking until the noodles are cooked and the cheese is all melty. So yummy.
