Does anyone rate anyone on here?

I have been rating the people on the discussions I have commented on and ones that I just liked. But it seems that no one has rated any of my comments. Are we supposed to do this or not? I don't really understand the whole rating system. I only noticed it after reading a discussion about someone's star changing color. Well, it doesn't appear that I have a star. How many times do you have to be rated before you get a star? What can i do to get rated?

You'll get your star after 100 posts. How high or low it will be is determined by the # of + or - ratings you've gotten. I give anyone who responds to my discussions positively unless their being a complete a$$. P.S. here's a boost for that star when you finally get it. +

Just hang in there and chat it up :) As you make friends here, you will get more responses. Responding to other's discussions is a good first step! Once you get your star at (100), it will move faster.

I see you've already gotten your star, and thats a really good star. Congratulations! Rate, a + for the really good responses and - if someone answered irrelevant and ! is to report if someone violated the mylot guidelines. This will not determine what your star is gonna look like but its for the others. For your star, keep posting quality discussions and am sure you're star'll turn a bluey 10 (thats supposed to be the highest rating)! All the best! ^_^

yes, i think most of the users here are rating every discussion that they're responding to. Like me, i always remember to rate a post + if i find it very informational and thoruoghly answers the asked topic. And it's just the other day that i learned that the star beside my name with a number inside it corresponds to the rating the other members gave me. And that it will only be shown when you've finally reached about a hundred posts. I saw you already got that star so congratulations and keep it up.

I wonder when will I get one of those ratings. You are so lucky, your just 3 days older than me yet, you already got a star. More power to you and I hope that you get the highest star. Anyway, what can the ratings do to us?

well, I think that the higher the number on your star possibly you get more money? I don't really know. If you get negative rates, your star will go down.

Yep, some people do rate. Unfortunately some people rate in a non constructive fashion. I bet you'll be fine though Just2.
