Remember Mood Rings?

I remember when Mood Rings were the next big thing. Everyone I knew had to have one. They were supposed to change colors depending upon your mood. They have a McDonald's ad on TV that gave me the idea for this discussion. As I was thinking about the mood rings, I couldn't believe how gullible we all were. LOL

Everyone had to have one! - mood ring
lol....that was a weird fad wasn't it? Would you believe I found a very old one in an old box just last week while I was getting winter things out of the basement? What memories that brought back!

They are a nice bit of nostalgia, 3lilangels, and I am going to search for one just to have.

Not only do I remember mood rings, I still have mine fro the 70's. It is black now. It stopped changing color soon after I got it but I like it's shape, it is oval, so I kept it.

They were very desirable back then, sarah. Almost everyone I knew had one or more of them.

Hehehe...Of COURSE I had mood rings. Actually I still have an old one from those days and I do still wear it. In is in the shape of a small heart with a tropical palm tree as a design in it but it does still change color. I wear it on my pinkie finger..its the only one small enough for my pinkie finger...LOL--I forget what the colors meant...I think black meant you were in a foul mood, blue/greens meant you were serene and peaceful My color of the ring is always an orangey red..forget what that meant??

Great link, pyewacket! I checked it out and the prices are very affordable. I think I will order one or two(for old time's sake).

Oh! Thanks ever for best response! I was surprised by that website. I didn't think they made any kind of mood rings anymore, and that site also has bracelets and necklaces as well. :)

Oh I just found a site that shows what the colors mean http://www.moodjewelry.com/chart.html So since mine is always an orangy red it means ORANGE STIMULATING IDEAS, DARING WANTS RED EXCITED, ENERGIZED, ADVENTUROUS, READY TO GO

Yes! I love mood rings! I don't "believe" in them, but I think they're neat! They have mood lipstick too ~ which is supposed to change colour according to your moods as well. Cool stuff!

I definitely remember mood rings. They can back into being popular when I was a kid, which was only about 10 years or so ago and I just had to have them. I still like mood rings, I think some of the designs are rather cool. Just not something I'd wear around all the time like I used to do.

I had mood lipstick!! It was orange, but changed color when you put it on, so cool!! But on me it was usually too dark of a red for my age. I still thought it was neat!
