Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul

Has anyone here read this or know of a teen who read any of the Teenage series from this collection of books? My mother had told me a few yrs ago that my niece had read it and enjoyed it and I'm seriously considering getting it for my son who is having a rough go right now....all the reviews I've read are really great but I'd like to hear from ppl in here what their thoughts are....
What do you think of the series? If you or someone you know has read any of the Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul books, did you/they get anything out of it? Is it something you would recommend or no?

I bought this for my 13 year old last year for Christmas. She very much enjoyed it. She is an avid reader to begin with and had read part of this book when she borrowed it from a friend. She has also read the one for the Teenage Christian Soul.
She says they really help her think more about life... which is what all those books do.

I ended up buying Chicken Soup for the Pre Teen Soul for my daughter and Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul: Tough Stuff for my son and they are both enjoying them which is good...My son seems to be really enjoying it and he says that he is getting somethingn out of it so thats a positive thing for sure :-D

thanks for replying....I have heard mainly good things about ALL of the Chicken Soup books (for adults, teens and kids alike)...I'm seriously considering getting one for my son and possibly the Pre-Teen one for my daughter actually....
