Would you end the war? Raise tax? Lower the price of gas? Make all illegals legal?

If i were to be president i think i'll give emphasis on quality education. I believe it is important for a nation that its people are literate. By quality education, people will be aware of his duties and responsibilities to himself, with other people and to this country. Being aware of this, people will strive hard to be responsible with their lives without relying on what the government has to offer. Instead, they will become government's biggest asset towards progress.

I would have a very intelligent officer in my office incharge of public oppinion-public oppinion measures the pulse of a presidents popularity and effective leadership. The oppinion of this Officer plus my own based on evidence will be my approach to promoting good governance and fighting maladministration. If Bush was guided by public oppinion dynamics, he would not have gone to war on such a flimsy reason-now more than 300,000 Iraqis have been killed and about 3000 American troops have perished and billions of shillings are being spent monthly in a country where both the killers and the killed civilians care ungrateful to Americans fro removing Saddam. I wouldnt be so naive to public oppinion.

The United States has always been the country immigrants flock too. Why? Because most of the world does not have the opportunities that the United States has. I don't care who is president. In the end the average US citizen who takes advantage of the opportunities in this country will find success. If you are not part of the solution in the United States then maybe you are part of the problem. There is no free lunch unless you work for a company that offers you an expense account..and I have and the food does taste better when its free!lol... Yes, education is important but that and hard work and common sense is the key to a obtaining your dreams.

Its nice to hear people talk about the American dream rather than the war. Thats why I love this country aswell.

Hey DB. Here's a thread a member named Miamilady started on that. She saw so many mylot threads complaining about politicians, war, government corruption, education, plenty of things under the sun. So this thread was HOW to fix it. It has my response to your question. http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/1319452.aspx Now I know there won't be 100% agreement, but I really felt the need to put a real effort in the submittal. Plus I'm always open to new ideas and discussion. But plenty of people agree, some reorganization is needed.

Thats a great response. I feel about the same way. Answeres to the problems rather than complaints. Most of the people I know that hate polititions ( Bush etc..) in office now, have no answeres to offer up for the exsisting problems. I was at Wal mart the other day and seen a young couple buying a calander with the count down till Bush is out of office. This is what sociaty has become. No longer does patriotism count for anything.
