I suffer from classic migrains and for those of you who don't know what it is; it comes in different forms, I have the worse case of classic migrains according to the doctors. My boy goes completly numb, I have mental confusion and usually cannot talk, I go blind temporarily, I have sensitivity to light and sound, my head pounds like you wouldn't believe, and I can't hardly breath. Most people who have classic migrains will usually only have some of these symptoms and in my case, I have them all at one time. I use to get them all the time when I was little and then they went away. I started getting them again when I became pregnant. The doctors had to take me off of my medication because it can cause brain damage in an unborn fetus but they put me on demorol and then told me not to take it unless I absolutly had too because it can also cause damage to an unborn child. I have tried just about everything and now I am turning to my friends on mylot for some help. What helps you when you have a migrain? I was in be for almost a week over this and haven't been able to get any work done. The migrains are the reason that I haven't been writing on here as much as what I normally do and it has kept me from doing a lot of things. I can't even go outside because I am scared that I will get a migrain. I could really use you help.

Hi rosaflorence You can drink a lot of pure water in little quantities depending on your weights. You need 1 litre of water for 20 kg of your weight. You can calculate accoding to your weight how much water you have to drink. You start doing this you will definitely find a diminishing migrain. I have been suffering from asthma, cold, headache etc. for almost 15 years without any remedy. I can feel your difficulty. I found a remedy after taking a vitamin supplement and cellular nutrition food. That have a wonderful effect on my body. I have everything under control now from the second month of using the supplement. It is really a miracle to me. If you are interested you can visit my site www.healthhomejob.com and email the same to yahoo. wishing you a speedy recovery from the persisting migrane.

Maybe that is why I have been having them so much. My husband says that I grind my teeth when I am asleep and now I catch myself doing it during the day. It has caused my teeth to start breaking off. I guess I should talk to my doctor about this and see what he says. I hope that this is what is causing it. They say that most people grind their teeth from their nerves being bad.

That is an awful predicament. If you have tried medicine how about looking at what you are eating..It very well can be an allergy...something you are eating..or something you are wearing..like colognes..etc..Many things trigger the headache.

I keep a daily record of everything that I am eating just incase I have a new symptom to a food pop up. as far as colognes go, I don't wear them and I can verily stand to be around them, they tend to give me headaches. I have tried just about everything under the sun and am still looking for more ways to ease my pain. I know that there are a lot of triggers but I wish that someone would come up with something that really and truly worked.

I feel for you rosaflorence, I get migraine headaches but not as bad as yours. My doctor put me on Imitrex and Nortriptyline at night. It helped me tremendously and now I only use the Imitrex when I feel some of the symptoms of a migraine coming. Hope you feel better, ask your Doc about other meds to help you...take care...

I have to go to the doctor frequently to try to get it under control. I was on Imitrex when it first came out a few years back and it didn't help. However, it did seem to help my mother but she doesn't have them as bad as my father and I. They usually switch my medicine about every few months when they realize that it isn't working. Sometimes the pain is so severe that I lay there and wish I would fall asleep and not wake up. I cry when I get them because I don't know what to do.

I had migraines that had me in the hospital at least twice a month. Nothing worked for them, other that the 'cocktail' of analgesic, tranquilizer and muscle relaxant I got there. After the shot, I would be able to function, where it made most people sleep for 12 hours! I began taking magnesium, Vitamin B-2 (riboflavin) and a stress formula B-complex, all of which I got online. I take one of each every day without fail... after 3 weeks, it dawned on me that I hadn't had a headache! And I haven't had one for nearly six months! Its worth trying... to give you back your life!!

Someone told me to take a vitamin B-2 so I guess if the majority rules.... I sometimes have to go to the hospital and get a shot that burns. It eases the pain but it doesn't make it go away. I still have the after pain effect where my head will still be pounding the next couple of days. I am going to check this out and see if it does some good.
