Do you hit your Computer when it pisses you off?

I know that you have all probably at least felt the temptation to bump some sort of device when you were feeling frustrated or the thing didn't work.
This is specially frequent with our computers, since they are really complicated machines which sometimes happen to fail.
I don't do it often, but yeah, I admit that sometimes i've hit my computer when i was mad because it wasn't working. Have you ever hit your computer or any other electric device because it wasn't working?

Well lightnin, I am as bad when I want to be. Especially when I'm totally pi$$ed off, I feel like I want to hit or throw something!;)
I would love to do that, but not on my computer since though this is old I can still rely on it too. If ever I get frustrated of something when infront of my pc, I simply count to ten and breathe slowly -inhale and exhale!;)

no i do not hit my computer because it cost me to much to buy it. i'm very carefull with the thing because i don't want it to be damaged

Hi LightninStrike! No I don't hit anything when I am pissed with any electrical appliance or the computer when they don't work but the temptation to throw it out of the window is great. haha.. Good thing it is heavy. LOL! But I do snarl at it and try to scare it with my scary voice or just scream at it. haha..weird, huh? Take care and have a nice day!

I don't with my new computer.But,I used to hit the screen all the time when it didn't do what I wanted it to do.It had an old big box screen and you really couldn't hurt it.I have a flat screen now so that wouldn't be a good idea.

Oh, no. I haven't reached that point yet. And besides if and when I decide to hit my computer out of anger, I will still be the losing end. I care about my things and hitting it doesn't make anything better, at least for me. It will rather may only get things worse for it will eventually get broken, and that would really suck.

It's true that u'd only get things worse, but this computer hitting doesn't come from a rational reaction anyway, it's something that you do as a reaction to a situation of stress...anyway I pretty much agree with what you said.

Oh yes, I do get irritated by my computer from time to time, increasingly often lately.
Last time I used to slam the mouse or bang the keyboard. But I try to remain rational nowadays and remember that the fault probably lies inside the CPU and the poor mouse and keyboards are just hapless victims.
And no, I refrain from lashing out at the CPU too. Not till I decide to get a new computer. :P

hehe. Well the day you buy a new pc you can get a good crash therapy by destroying the current one with your own hands or using a hammer. In fact, there 's a company here in spain that does that and provides stuff like TV's and computers so that burn out executives can release their stress and feel better.

I did one time when the servers are so slow and I cant really work something that needs a deadline. And im really pissed and slam everything because i totally lost my patience coz i couldnt make it on time. I did that because of others fault..the internet providers are to be blamed.

I did on my old computer but i have found out in stead of hitting it it helps to say: stroke, stroke (ae ae on danish) while you stroke it ;)

Oh, I've hit mine a few times. Mostly, though, I just yell at it. I do get very frustrated if it's not working properly or if the internet is slow (I hate waiting!!). It's funny how "things" can piss of off, isn't it!

Well, there have been times when things have been really ticking me off with my computer where I have felt like giving it a good whack, but I always keep myself in check, knowing how much more ticked off I would be if I had to pay out hundreds of dollars to replace broken parts. In the end I get away with a few loud curses, and walk away for 5 minutes or so!

i think it's a good tactic to go away for a few minutes and then come back. It saves us a lot of money because that way we don't break anything lol. thanks for replying.

I don't hit my computer. I slap it the table. LOL. Sometimes, yes, I hate it when I am too busy and need to rush some stuff and something is not working well. I just will slap the table I'm working at. Sounds funny but it's pretty relieving and makes us feel a little comfortable after a while and work continues.

Yes. Especially when optical mouse is not yet known to us and mouse balls are the normal ones to use. I always bump it whenever it will not move the way I want it to be. It's really nice that optical mouse was introduced to us that's why playing games is a lot more fun than before.

i always hit my keyboard as specific actually this keyboard im using right now is the 5th one...just imagine what kinda f*** im doing...i cant help but losing my patience im always and always trying to fix it but my f***ing stupid useless brothers are creating such viruses of it and memory damage!!!what will u do if im in ur place??? then lets figure out!
