Noise problem

It gets quite disturbing when there’s a continuous hiss or distortion in the background while I am listening to my favorite tracks. I can detect the hiss more correctly when I use my headphones. I would like to know what causes the hiss.

Sometimes its poorly recorded audio files. Other times is the inner workings of the computer like the fans, sometimes the electrical processes themselves (heard as a higher pitch background noise).

probably you can hear your computer fan working...most computers have this problem...
