Any ideas on how to make things where I can hide veggies for my 1yr old. He started eating every veggie I put in front of him, but now won't touch any. Even caught on to broccoli and cheese. No problems with fruit, so that's one good thing I guess. Thanks for any ideas.

The first thing that popped into my head was a veggie burger, they're pretty good and you can disguise them as a real burger. Here's a good recipe I found on HappyCow: 1 (15) ounce can of kidney beans (drained and rinsed) 1/2 cup of rolled outs 1/2 mushrooms, finely chopped 1/2 cup onions, finely chopped 1 carrot, shredded 1/2 cup red bell peppers, chopped 1 clove garlic, minced 2 tablespoons of tomato paste or ketchup 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper to taste Hope he'll like it.

Oh that's great. I couldn't find a recipe for a veggie burger that sounded like it'd taste good. I'll add those things onto my next shopping list. Thanks.

I used to hide vegetables in my spaghetti sauces. In chili, or in my meatloaf. Emily never caught on, or at least she never complained about it. The only vegetable that I could get her to eat was beans. Of any type. She loved them. Her favorite was ham and bean soup, so I fixed that often.

We were about to try spaghetti the other night, but my son spiked a bit of a fever - either from teething or a mild reaction to his 1yr. shots - and wasn't willing to eat anything. So we'll try that again another day. But I will surely try some meatloaf soon though. Thanks for the advice.

Well, I'm not really sure. Mine eats veggies. She loves broccoli and cheese......lol......at the grocery store she yells I want BROCCOLI!!! And ppl just turn, look and laugh. But, mine WONT eat meat. lol. So, I guess we all have some type of nutritional problems with our children.....lol. Maybe you can do what I do and grind them up really small and put them into foods that he does eat. See if that works......other than that, Im really not sure.....Maybe letting him help you prepare the food? Or letting him choose between two or three veggies at the store, let him pick one or the other. Thats all I have for you right now!

A good idea. I'll have to try that. Maybe some tiny veggies mixed in with ground turkey. And I'm sure he'll love getting to help me some too. Thanks for the ideas.

My 9 month old daughter will eat every vegetable under the sun. My 7 year old will only willingly eat corn, carrots, cucumbers, green beans, broccoli, and potatoes. They both eat broccoli without the cheese. Carrot cake is a good way to hide veggies. I also make potato pancakes and cabbage pancakes. My son does not even know there is a vegetable in them. I make pumpkin bread and zucchini bread that my son loves.

I would never have thought of cabbage in pancakes - great new idea. We did try sweet potato pancakes and those worked pretty well. I'll have to try cabbage too. Thanks for the input.
