Well, I don't think i've been affected that much when some of my friends pressure me on doing something that i don't like. I never took any of their afvices or suggestions because I have my own ideas and principles to lookup to. As i have said from a previous post I happen to want to be unique in some sort of different ways, i wanted to be different, so much different that i don't go follow my friends trend. Well of course i follow a bit sometimes, but i don't let myself to be a "push over", i fight for what i believe that is right so i never give in to peer pressure. If they do something crazy, i don't follow. You, do you give in to peer pressure?

Sometimes i get affected by it, but most of the times, when i don't like the things that are happening i speak up and i don't comply in what is happening. i think peer pressure is a very powerfull thing and you should be carefull with it!

There are times that even if we think we are not affected by peers, we are. Normally we react to pressure of any kind including peer pressures. how we react depends on our individuality. Me it depends on the mood I have when pressure is pressed.

I don't consider pressure as a distraction for me, most of them I don't listen to as I'll completely move on and continue what I am doing. I think I don't have friends like that of you have, my friends are all supportive to me and will not even leave me or pressure me to do such things. like the saying goes, "we are all masters of our own destiny, we are the one's responsible in shaping it."

Do I give into peer pressure? No, I do not. Have I ever? Yes, I have. When I was younger, I gave into it all the time because it was easier to agree than to disagree. I had a very low self esteem as a young adult and did many things that I shouldn't of to be accepted. Now that I am the mother of two beautiful little girls, I hope that I can raise them with the right morals and standards that will help their self esteem. Nobody should ever have to feel pressured to be somebody they are not.
