Mylot rating

So I have just been made aware that you are supposed to be rating responses with positive or negative so it affects the mlot users reputation. I just found this out while reading the discussions of other mylot users. I was wondering if this star and number affected anything here on mylot, or if it was just so other users can see how one specific user was rated? Does it affect earnigs either positively or negatively? Or does it not have any affect?

It does affect our earning, but it depends on how we also put our posts at. It is said that we should post with QUALITY and not in quantity. Mylot encourages it's members to be more creative and descriptive when responding or posting discussions, good information shared has an equivalent in our added earnings.
