I am very sorry to say you it is senseless question. Who can say that he/she is financially secure for next 10 year. Someone may said it but my personal opinion is that is because of their ignorant of life. I agree many people seems to financially secure but situation can change any time. We cant tell what is going to happen in future. We all try to become financially secure because thats our duty to ensure it for as and our loved ones. But my dear friend no one in the world is financially secure for next 10 year not even one year.

I respect your reaction praveenkalias1981, but this is a question of being sure about the next 10 years. Nobody can ever predict whats going to happen in the future and you are very right, as things change day by day. But people can foresee their future by their ways of managing their lifestyles and i can see that people that are "not IGNORANT" can be financially secured for the next 10 years...or more.

Im not even financially secure for the next week let alone 10 years, I have enough money to my bills and keep afloat but thats about all really. Life is full of trials like this and where other people see futility in the 9-5 grind some see it as a stop gap measure in their quest to move to a better job and if you keep a positive outlook and be determined to achieve your life goals then im sure you can do it. The way I like to think of it is there are famous people from third world countries growing up in the harshest conditions imaginable with poverty, famine, homelessness and no family who overcome all these challenges and still manage to become very successful. So if they can do it then there is no reason why someone like me in a "first" world country can't achieve a lot higher then that considering I already have the things they started without.

Bills Bills Bills and more Bills to come. We cannot avoid that buddy as life goes around in circles. WE use our necessities, we spend our money and the other day we dont know what to expect. One thing i noticed, not because Im a filipina, I observed and really compared how people in different cultures manage their life when it comes to money. In Philippines the poverty is outraging as the population grows in big numbers. But If you look deeper and observe carefully, Majority you see them happy even they dont have anything. They are contented as long as they see their family and they never worry about tomorrow, of course we worry but to the extent that there is contentment what tomorrow could bring makes them happy, In Japan , they stress themselves to much and they do "HARAKIRI" because they are too much worried about financially. In Austalia, the have to work hard because they are dealing too much on taxes... I myself dont know whats going to happen in the next 10 years, it doesnt worry me coz I always deal with my present. Thank Sectorx4 for sharing! Have a nice one!

I agree that different societies deal with financial wealth and its effect on happiness very differently, from one extreme to another. It's good that some people can live happily without money but im not one of them since I need it to do the traveling I want. Well thought out question, have a good day :)

During my life in twenties, I thought I was struggling. Years rolled on. I understood that it is a common phenomenal of life. The feeling about security depends on life style of the individual. But who undergo struggle in early age, will lead a peaceful life at their old ages.So you will also be happy in the near future.
