How could someone kill and innocent little girl?

I don't watch the news very often because it upsets me because there is so much killing and other bad stuff. I happened to catch a glimpse of it the other day and there was a 9 year old girl missing from Stella MO. She had been missing for two days and all they had said was that the step father was watching her until he and his friends went out that Friday night. Right away I thought to myself that he probably killed her. I logged into MyLot this morning and the first thing that caught my eye was in the news section "Two Missouri Men Being Charged for Girls Death" so I clicked on it to read about it because I'm from Missouri. It was talking about the same pretty little girl that I saw in the news. Her step father and one of his friends are being charged for the little girls murder. She was found in a cave outside her hometown. I don't understand how someone could kill another human being but especially an innoncent little girl. I shouldn't let things get to me but this has started my day out on a very sad note.

horrible isnt it? like you, thats the exact reason i dont like watching the news either. its depressing and often horrifying.
seems there are more and more children having violence done to them than ever before. but then again, maybe not, maybe its just cause those stories are getting more news coverage than they used to.
either way..doesnt make for a good opening in your day.

Yes I agree I don't understand either, what has this world come to, once upon a time grown ups protected children exept maybe there would be a real nutter but it seems today live seems so meaningless to people and even children are just though of as nothing, there is something wrong somewhere, they say we are superior to animals as we have logic and compassion well these days i say cats and dogs are superior to the human race, it is very sad.

Terrible! I cant believe what people will do. How can you kill an innocent child? What could she have done to deserve it? Nothing! I hope this man and his friend end up in jail! They dont deserve to live! Storys like this make my heart hurt. And knowing that I have two children who i am rasing in this world scares me. I wish the world was a better place and that we didnt have to worry so much about murder.

I can understand how you feel. I also do not understand why some people can be so cruel and brutal. Aren't we brought up to do good things and to be kind? Sigh
We should all keep ourselves in check everyday to make sure we remain good and have a good heart.
