I have a sister who I believe has it all.(in my eyes) And I feel like I am jealous of the accomplishments she has made in her life. She has a good job, husband, beautiful daughter, house, and all around good life. Well I was just wondering if anyone understood where I was coming from. Thank you for your time!

Its nothing to be jeleous of. Its something to shoot for. That will be very difficult considering your circumstances ( being pregnant at 16 & living with a mother whose only income is disability ). Its going to be a LOT of hard work.

I'm not really jealous of my sister; she's mostly a pain in the butt to me, and I'm also proud of her getting good grades in college. :)

I am the big sister. I am the oldest. I am not jealous of my younger siblings. I am glad I don't live with my parents. I would go crazy living with my mom complaining all the time.

I have an older sister, however, we have never been jealous of the other one's life. She has a good husband and a lovely home, and 2 dogs, no children, which was her choice. Which is a good thing, she's more high maintenance lol. On the other hand, I have 2 beautiful daughters, a great man, a nice home, my dream job (she doesn't work) and an all around great life. So, although we have always had very different life styles, we have never had reason to be jealous of the other.

sorry to hear that you're feeling that way. the only thing that i can tell you is to set reasonable goals and figure out what you can do to obtain them. and stick to the plan. try a 6 month, 1 year, 5 year and 10 year. research what it will take you to realistically get there and stick with it. if something sends you astray, re-evaluate and get back on track!

When I was a teenager, I was jealous of my older sisters sometimes. As I got older and got a closer look at them and their lives, I stopped being jealous. Growing up you learn than the grass is Not always greener on the other side, even if it appears so from a distance. While things may appear perfect, they may not be. And even if your sister does have it pretty good, that doesn't mean you can't have those same things. You are not there yet, but there's no reason you can't be someday.
