Finally I did it. After looking at my furniture’s damage I spend hours of hours searching for healthy solution for all of us. Sticky Paws was sticky only to visitor’s clothes. Not mentioned trashy look. It took me about 30 minutes to apply Nail caps on my cat nails. She has all clear, probably next time I will buy color clips. She looks like she doesn’t care. After many yummy treats, who would? She is sitting happy on my laps. I am wondering what is next. Do you know when time to change caps is? Do I have to remove it or it will fall of by itself?

These fall off all by themselves. We used them on a cat of ours. They are an absolute wonderful product. My favorite color was hot pink because our cat was a girl. As their nails grow out from clipping them to use the product, you replace the ones that fall off (after clipping their nails, again.) We used them for about 3 1/2 years before we had to let the cat go. We are still finding the hot pink nail caps around the house. LOL

Thank you very much. I was wondering what is next. I am glad that someone has an experience with this product. Sad to say that my Vet never mentioned this product, but instead she proposed to have my cat declaw.... I didn't find pink color in local store, but they have it on line, so I will buy pink next time.

I can't believe that a vet suggested declawing! This a a very cruel practice which I think should be banned. It involves the amputation of the top phlange on each of the cats toes. It's rather like a person solving the problem of having to trim nails all the time by having the tips of there fingers and toes amputated!

I just got my first cat and he doesn't seem to scratch at my furniture. I don't know if this is because he is new, but I will look for these. Can they be bought at any pet store?

Is there not a risk that the cat will swallow them when she grooms her feet?

She is not able to if you place glue on. You have to wait at lest one month to fall off. I spend all day yesterday reading review and opinion from people who used it before. Cats are loosing it when running, more likely they can play with it than swallow...

Well, I've never heard of accessaries for cats. Next you'll be telling us she's on the catwalk in a NY fashion show. All jokes aside, when I had cats, many years ago we used to make a scratching board for them, which was a base with a rather solid piece of timber attached ( about 12" to 15" high which was covered with carpet. When the cats used this they were rewarded, when they attacked the furniture, I would move them to the board. I believe it was rather successful. Good luck with fashion cat.

Thank you for this information polachicago! I keep looking at my sofa where my cats have clawed at it. They have a scratching post that they use if they feel like it. I am definitely going to buy the Soft Claw Nail caps for them. I want to buy a new living room set and now if these work, I will be able to...Thanks again...

You can buy it on line for less than in retail store... I am going to buy more to have replacement... In one pack you have 4 applications, because you apply it only on front claws... They have now red and green for holiday, but I will buy pink only....

They actually fall off by themselves. They don't really last all that long either but it is a good solution. Have you tried getting her a scratching post to do all of her scratching on. My friend's cat only claws at the scratching post. She sprays it with lavender to make it more attractive to the cat.

My cat has 5 scretching posts all over the house( with fresh catsnip), but she is always going back to sofa... When I am not at home, I don't want to lock her in any part of the house. My animals run free and she always wants to be close with my dogs(they sleep together)...

It didn't help, my sofa looks like 20 years old after just one year. I am busy, so I don't have time to watch what she is doing..

Thanks for all the useful information about these things. My furniture shows the ravages of several generations of cats over the last 50 - odd years, but I don't think that I'll be using them for my 4 cats. They all have access to the outside, and they need to have good sharp claws if they need to defend themselves or is they want to climb a tree. One suggestion that I can make though regarding scratching posts. If you place one in front of the place where they scratch on the furniture, they can be encouraged to use the post instead of the furniture.

you put caps on every nail of your cat!!! wow this is sure a great idea. I have never thought about anything like this. I am sure that lots of cat's owners will follow you if this turns to be successful because the habit of cats of putting their nails on anything is one of the thing that can drive you crazy. Let us know how long it lasts and if the cat likes them and keeps the caps on as days pass by.

Yes, separate each one, one at the time. She doesn't care; look like she didn't notice any difference. It will last for about 1-1/2 months per one application. It is placed on small amount of glue. She didn't change her behavior, except she is not able to scratch herself, my dogs and my furniture’s. She is playing a lot with my dogs, and she could accidentally scratch my dogs.
