kauro amane if i wasn't mistaken, it was her character name in jdorama entitled taiyou no uta, where she also had a incurable disease, it was XP (i forgot the term, but it's about ultraviolet ray sensitive, its like afraid of the sun)...
yes, she's a good actress and singer, i haven't seen her modeling though. well, i really don't have so much information about her, but you can find her in www.jdorama.com or in wikipedia... heheheh
