I was nervous due to dads return in 12 hours or so so I got out the gifts we have bought the grandsons and decided I may as well wrap them. So I wrapped them all placing them in a bag. They are tagged. Now all I need to do a day before or so is to put the ribbons and or bows on them all. Have you wrapped any gifts this early yet? When do you start to wrap your gifts usually? Do you add decorative ribbons nad or bows to the packages as well? This is the bag of gifts wrapped. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Way To Go Grandpa Bob! I haven't even started on my Christmas shopping yet lol. That is awesome that not only are you done your shopping, but you are now done your wrapping too! You did a great job too by the looks of it! I usually wrap the present, stick on the to: and from: tag, then put a bow on it, and ribbon if I have the time. Your Friend, PurpleTeddyBear xx

I wait till Christmas Eve for the ribbons and bows etc. That way they stay neat looking. Otherwise they may get crushed and or flattened out. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!`

I haven't even bought any gifts. Thats because I am waiting for hubbys tax cheque to arrive, & I am getting my tax done tomorrow. Then I will start in earnest. I have about 30 people to buy for. And for my immediate family there are multiple presents to buy, especially for my daughter. I wrap them with shop bought, discount Christmas paper. I use tags but no ribbon. I may have a look to see if there is any cheap ribbon to buy this year. Then they are put in a HUGE pile under the tree (which is not up yet). By now your Dad would have returned to yiur home. I will look to see if you have started a discussion about it. Did you receive my 6 photos I sent you via email?

Hello Grandpa Bob, Normally I just wrap a gift plain. You know, the plain vanilla mode - just slap a piece of paper on it and try to be as creative and artistic as I am not. :P I don't normally use ribbons or bows unless I have to have them around. And no, I don't go buying them just to doll up the gift. Somehow this has not occurred to me lol... I prefer things plain. :PP

I see that you are trying to stay busy! I do put ribbons and bows on mine to make them look extra pretty. I ahve in the past wrapped this early. Normally I would wrap as I get them to prevent others in the house from going through them. But this year, I have them in my closet and waiting until I get the urge up to wrap.

I won't add ribbons or bows until Christmas Eve as they would get destroyed or at least flattened out by then. So on the 24th I am busy doing the final touches on the gifts. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Well i usually dont wrap the gifts as i am always in a hurry to buy gifts for friends or relatives but when i bought the gift on time like a day before then i usually dont allow the shopkeeper to wrap the gift,i only take the gift paper and some decorative material like ribbons or stickers and wrap the gift at home..This time when i bought a gift for my friend i had two things which i had bought for her..I wrapped the bigger gift like a chocolate wrapped in a wrapper and the smaller gift in a envelope.. I love the art of wrapping the gift..

Wow, you are really on the ball Grandpa! I have bought several items and have them hidden in our house, but no wrapping has occured! I usually pick a day and wrap once we put the tree up. I do put bows and ribbons on the packages...as that is the part of Christmas that our cat most looks forward to! By Christmas morning, the ribbons are usually shredded and the bows torn off...but he has had a ball!

Hi Grandpa Bob, I saw this topic, and couldn't resist it.:) No, I've never wrapped gifts this early, and part of the reason is, I don't have any to wrap yet. This is usually the case. I do try to do them before Christmas Eve, because for many years, I'd stay up most of the night wrapping gifts. This will be a really big help to you this year. Finally, yes I do put bows and ribbons on the gifts. It gives that extra touch. Good night, now!:)

Oh man, some of the gifts were bought a couple months ago actually. Hee hee. We see a sale and we buy things well in advance to avoid a huge rush in December. HAHAHAHA! I love playing with ribbons decorating the gifts. The grandsons love the looks and hate ripping them open. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

It's great to get things on sale. This is a 'real testimony' to your wonderful gift wrapping skills, when kids hate to damage the wrapping. I'm like that too, as so many packages are just beautiful. Now, Grandpa Bob, tell me to get some sleep.:) Just kidding, but I must 'really.'

I'll have no presents to wrap this year. With the major car repairs a few months ago and overdue bills, I just don't have the money to buy anything this year. I am, however, buying my daughter one present which is next to impossible to wrap being it's so big. Going to sacrifice another bill to get it for her.

I have had to wrap presents just a week ago. My cousin came to town from New York and they didn't know if they would be back for christmas so I had to a quick wrapping job. I hate having to wrap presents this early it makes me feel that christmas is coming to fast.
