Aedes - Aedes Mosquito. There is no specific medicine and prevention is by control of mosquito and protecting ourselves from being bitten by mosquitoes
"Chickun-Guniya" is spread by the vector mosquitoes. It causes fever and body aches. There is no cure for "Chickun-Guniya" however one can prevent it from taking hold in one's body by activating the immune response by early use of Vitamin C and Zinc supplements and drinking green tea. If someone does get this virus, it hydrate the body. Throw away the table salt and replace it with sea salt. This will help with body aches. Add a pinch to your water. For our body, CATNIP OIL is ten times stronger than DEET for preventing mosquito bites. I would mix some with rosemary oil and lavender and bathe or rinse with this mixture in the late afternoon and I would bathe or spray some on in the morning to prevent bites. The most common time for bites is in the hours before sunset and after sunrise.

Oh, that sounds a terrible disease. I love to travel to tropical countries where mosquitoes are often present in the evening time. I went to Kenya and there was a real danger of Malaria. I took the anti malaria pills but they gave me an awful side affect: very painful mouth ulcers that went far as my throat. Eating and drinking was painful so I stopped taking the pills. I realize that I could have been killed as that part of Africa has a fatal type of malaria. I did wear arm bands and leg bands that had been covered in very strong liquid hated by all insects though. I had trousers on from sunset onwards and slept under a mosquito net. In the Maldives I had a mosquito coil lit every night. I didn't see any mosquitoes there but there were a few in the Seychelles. Another place I went where my guide book said there was malarial mosquitoes was one part of Indonesia. Again I took anti malaria pills but they made my eye sight go and I kept seeing white. It was scary so I stopped taking the pills. These days I will just keep away from mosquitoes by using a net, coils and clothing.

That is really scary. Can they fog to help get rid of them? Even closing doors and windows won't make sure they don't come inside. Hopefully they will find something that will work to cure it, but in the meantime you will have to be extra careful.

Thanks for your response. Mosquitos usually come between 6 and 7pm. To a great extent we can get rid of mosquitos while closing the windows. Fog is effective method.but some fog making powders make allergy. Happy myloting
