Mine was last February when a snake crawled out of the split-type aircon unit in our bedroom and dropped on the floor writhing. At the time, my husband was vacuuming the aircon's nooks and crannies (while I was holding the vacuum cleaner so he can reach higher) because a tiny mouse dropped down several minutes before. We thought a mama mouse made it her nest and gave birth inside. I was repulsed when a tiny head peeked out of the side hole. I thought it was another mouse. So imagine my horror when the head was followed by a long body and plopped down on the floor. I screamed, my husband saw what frightened me -- I dropped the vacuum cleaner on the floor as he pushed me out the door and we ran to the living room for dear life. Looking back, we get to laugh about it now because we both jumped on the sofa at the same time. We had to call some guards from the municipal hall to come and get the snake who hid under our mattress. We guessed that the mouse entered the hole where the aircon's tubes go out to the outside motor. The snake simply followed its scent -- and in the process, scared the living hell out of me and my husband :p

My scariest experience so far for 2007, was an encounter with ground wasps! I work for the forestry service, and we were cutting over hanging limbs on a hiking path, I was dragging them off the path and into the woods, when I stepped on a gound nest. At first, I thought it was just one wasp and I swatted him away, however, within seconds I was covered with them, they were all over my shirt and jeans. I was stung from the neck down to the tops of my boots, approximately 100 stings maybe more I lost count lol. I was just lucky I am not allergic to them as we were 4 miles of the road, and probably another 10 for the nearest ambulance service. I still don't know how I didn't get stung in the face area, one of the crew got stung about 25 times trying to help get them off of me. In case you're wondering, I was back in the woods 2 days later.
