how can you tell if you want to spend your whole life with someone?

i know this sounds stupid but a lifetime commitment is a very big thing and although this should be my own decision, i would like to here your opinions.

If thats the life you want to take and willing to live on with. You can tell if he/she is the one in your life because you cannot live alone without this certain person in your life.
