Paypal emails and phishing

If you receive an email supposedly from paypal wanting you to enter your info through their povided link do you know what to do? This happened to me and luckily I did not do it. The page it sent me to looked off so I went to the paypal website itself and contacted them. Apperantly it was a phishing email trying to get my bank and credit card info from me! Paypal asks that if you receive a questionable email you fwd it to spoof@paypal.com so that they can find its source and stop the email from being spread. Remember that if you get one, you should always go to their website and access your account...if you need to do anything it will tell you when you log in....Normally they don't send emails like that. I just wanted to give everyone that piece of info to help keep our online community aware and educated :)

Always check the URL of the website before logging in...
Some security software like Norton Internet Security comes with a anti-phishing feature incorporated into the Internet Explorer...So if you visit a non-authentic site, it will prompt you that the site is suspicious and not to log in...
