Do you have a friend who allways brings you down?

I have a few of them, They are actually really anoying but they never seem to get the hint that i don't want to hang out with them anymore. I think I'm just going to have to come out and say it. Have you had a friend like this, what did you do?

I dont have too many friends that way..but do have some family members that will gladly knock me down a few blocks. Friends have really been lifesavers to me;)

aw..I feel for you..It's awful..when it comes from family..You know you can always count on your friends here at mylot ..to come through..I dont like when people knock others down..It's cruel, unkind and uncalled for..Keep your chin up..You are a wonderful person..God has great things in store for you:)

Thank you! Yes I do love the people here on mylot and the other sites I am on. It seems I just live in a place that has alot of drama and weird people!

My family is the same way, I think the only ones who wouldn't would be my grandparents, one of my sisters, my brother and my step dad. My mom is always putting me down and telling me I don't do anything right. I'm hoping once I move I can make new friends that won't treat me so badly, but thats a few months down the road.

Yes I do have a friend that seems to bring me down a bit, she is my best friend that I have known since school, but she doesn't know how she has hurt me in the past, I brought up one particular instance after some years when she again hurt me but she said I took what she said out of context but how can you take out of context there is only one way to take it when your friend offers to attract your dream man over and then say she will then leave you to it...I can't think of another way to take that...

Wow that sounds like something one of my friends would say. She is also a friend from when I was in high school, and she use to tell me I didn't get guys because I didn't look like her. Then if guy liked me she would flirt with them until they went for her. I just don't get some people.

Yes some people just don't know how they can hurt people with comments although I will admit I am a deep thinker about everything but still, some comments are just hurtful.

You are so right..we never know the weight of our words..until we see the expression on the face of those who receive them.. Even me..as sensitive as I am ..sometimes I fall short of being as kind as I should..

I had a friend who was always depressed and that was always negative. at first i was always tring to help him, tl listen to him. I was tired of that and I simply stop talking to him. I explain to him many times why and he was telling me he change and things like that. I'm really better without him. Trying to help someone sometimes takes you too much energy
