Do you enjoy movie theme scores

Soundtracks has its own section at the music store. They can be compilation of a variety of artists or they could be scores by a composer. In this discussion, I am referring to movie scores, such as ones composed by John Williams (name any Speilberg film) or Dimitri Tiomkin (High and the Mighty). Are you a fan of movie scores - do you have any favorite composers. Have you ever watched a movie just for its score?

The movie I watch for the score is Out Of Africa by John Barry.He is my favorite composer of movie scores. He has written for just about every genre. He is well known for the first James Bond films, but he also wrote the music for The Lion In Winter, Body Heat,Until September, Playing By Heart and The Specialist, among others. I love his scores because they are full, rich music that takes my breath away.

I like John Barry also, but my favorite is probably Dimitri Tiompkin who did High and the Mighty and the Alamo.

I liked Danny Elfman's Batman (1989) score, and his overall contributions to the Nighmare Before Christmas, which is one of my favorite modern movies.

any ways i refer to imdb and then search for good movies. then i watch them. then i think why it was given that rating.

Alan Silvestri compositions for forrest gump and castaway are my favorites. I'm not a big fan of music scores but when i hear something i like l try looking for it online.
