I dont know if im having real contractions or just Braxton Hix. My stomach will get real tight, and it will last for like 1-2 minutes then they wont come for like another 15-20 min. Itll feel real painful like a cramp, and sometimes my back will start hurting.

You should just keep timing them to see if they keep getting closer. If they do then it may be the real deal.

Just once they start look at the clock and start your time. When you have the next one that is when the time stops. If the time between contractions continues to shorten then you may be on your way to having your little one.

Sounds like it could be real contractions but it's hard to tell. Go drink some water and walk around for a it. If the go away then they were Braxton-Hicks, if they get stronger or closer together then they are real. To time them just look at the clock when one starts and see how long it lasts (real ones are usually 45-60 seconds or more. Then keep track of how many minutes pass etween the start of that one and the start of the next one. Call your doctor if they get to 5 minutes apart or closer (unless you live far from the hospital, then you may want to call when they are 10 minutes apart or closer. Good Luck and keep us posted!

The closer the contractions, get they may be the real thing. My daughter's lasted for 90 seconds on the most part. We had her at the hospital so many times. But the hospital thought that the contractions were the real thing, also. So we were better safe than sorry. LOL Let us know...
