Environmental protection is more important than economic development in china

But I agree with you teacher. Economy counts for nothing for there are poors in a rich country. But we all stand on the earth and breath the air. If the enviroment become worse day after day, the peoples in any country will suffer torrid days and dirty air meanwhile the richers always can find a good place to live.

I've seen quite a bit of evidence to the contrary of this statement. Obviously your teacher has an agenda to promote China's economic growth and defend it's flagerant disregard for environmental issues. China certainly isn't the only culperate in the world but it's not innocent either.
