Hi singlepixel my dear friend! Freedom for me is being myself. When I can express myself truthfully and sincerely. When I can laugh honestly, when I can sing and dance with no cares, when I can love and cry. When my heart is not chained anymore in the pain of the past and my dreams can live in all my tomorrows. Freedom is thinking my own thoughts, speaking my own mind and feeling my own heart. And I know I can only be free when I released myself from the cage I myself have placed around me. Take care and have a nice day my dearest friend! :)

Hello! Soooo deep is your discussion naman! FREEDOM! hhhmmm..*whehe* -Freedom for me is my capacity to exercise choice; my own free will. To have freedom to do as I please all my life. -My exemption from an unpleasant condition. A freedom from want. -And having full access or unrestricted use of my life. Oh ha! soo deep is me...*wehehe* I am FREE....FREE WILLY! yikes! toinks!

I remember Mel Gibson's lines as I read your post here, he shouted FREEDOM in Braveheart!;) Well for me, it is living a life with no complications at all. Free-will and no hustles, I guess that's where we mostly want to get away from.

wow! it was a brave movie! i watched it back in '95 free-will and no hustle, do you think women say those words too?..(just wondering)

The ability to do what you would like to do, worship as you would like to do and to be who you can be. To me, in this country, we have folks free to do what they want, but they turn and blame this one or that one for what went down back in the day, or what have you. Now, I won't say that was right what happened then, it wasn't. The residue of that is still in place today, agreed, but that don't mean that you can't do what you need to do TODAY. which is why you got folks from other countries that come here and make things happen in this country. If you have a Mexican couple who probably make next to nothing, but they get up in the middle of the night and collect simple soda cans and such in order to send their kids to college on that money, that is freedom. taking something and making it work, that's freedom.

Freedom, according to me is, acquisition of a state of mind at which we are not affected by the external or internal environment. You are free from everything, that is the true freedom. If your parents let you play for a half an hour, that is not getting freedom. By saying half an hour, they are Infact creating boundaries for you. Freedom, I think, is being absolutely free from everything.

this reminds me of unlimited freedom WHICH is not actually good for self development/improvement. i think parents 'created' those boundaries from their own experiences to guide their growing children. i think so..

he he he...that's better. i agree. thanks for clearing my 'little mind'...lol.. thank you I_Luv_U.....

That was just an example. I did'nt mean or say that parents should give absolute freedom to the child, restrictions are a part of teaching discipline to the child, I agree. But they should not exceed and ruin the joys of childhood.

Hi singlepixel:) Freedom to me is being not bound, being able to do what i want, when i want and not having to answer to anyone but myself.I am in a 10 year reltionship this new years eve and i have the freedom that i want.My boyfriend cares but lets me do what ever i want by making my owns descisions myself, leaving when i want......he lets me live.It is not a nice life if you do not have freedom in it or at least some kind of it,it only makes a person miserable which leads to lashing back.
