One time I was washing dishes and the toaster was in the way so not thinking with my wet hands I touched the inside of the toaster and moved it. Also forgetting that the toaster was plugged in I got a little "baby" shock. That was just a little zap though, no biggie! £µv & Hµgzz¸ ¥øµr Frìëñd¸ Pµrþ|ëTëddýßëâr.

I agree, I am lucky that I haven't gotten a worse shock then just a little zap. I found a program called De-Zoned and it makes some funky lettering! I thought I'd give it a whirl. I think it looks okay! £µv & Hµgzz¸ ¥øµr Frìëñd¸ Pµrþ|ëTëddýßëâr.

When I was younger I got shocked my an old, faulty outlet. I simply plugged something in and it zapped. I had black powder up my fingers and my arm ached for a little while. My oldest son peed on an outlet once. He was fine and it didn't do any harm to anything else.

LOL either stop tinkering, buy rubber handled tools or just remember to shut the power off first! Either that or take out a life insurance policy with your boyfriend as beneficiary, then he won't mind the tinkering!

Hi foxyfire33:)Its full of those faulty outlets here in our "old" house that we are renovating.I did the same as you and got quite a jerk, even one time in the dryer when i was checking why it did not work and smelled smoke.I stuck my head in there with a screw driver tinkering around, not thinking to unplug it first and got a big shock and powder on my face.I wash my face immediately just incase.I have alot of unlucky days believe me,hahaha! My boyfriend said one day he will come home and find me fried or something, haha,he said to stop tinkering with stuff.I think its a good idea, dont you?Hehe Peanutjar:)

I have been electricuted or electrically shocked many times peanut, but not that serious that I almost got roasted!LoL A part of my work is for fixing wirings, electrical appliances and keeping them clean. I was wiping some dirt off on our light defusers using a CO2 since I can't reach it even by using the ladder, I didn't notice that there was an open wire there and accidentally hit it with CO2. The electric current flowed through my hand, as I can see the white line of the electricity as I hole the CO2 tank. Good thing is, I didn't dropped the tank for it would cause more catastrophe. It was literally a very SHOCKING experience, that I somehow get to laugh out since it awaken my sleepy senses that time!LoL

yss i had once. it was near fatal. One pin was plugged and suddenly power came. the cord had leakage somewhere between. It gave shock tremendously. I was thrown away some 5-6 feet away and i had burn over my palms. Muscle pain was there for a week.

I have experienced that for a couple of times. our term for it is being "grounded". ^__^;; but whenever I instantly feel the electricity my reaction is to immediately let go of the thing but the part of my body that was touching it would be numb for a couple of seconds. ^__^

Oh yup, have had that lovely experience. I used to have a kitty that loved to chew on wires, how that darn cat never got electrocuted I'll never know, but his "mom" sure did. Say I pick up a wire and I didn't know there were teeth marks in it, and my hands were slightly damp, even just from having sweaty hands...uh, well, you can guess what happened. Zappp! Wasn't too bad, but after a few times whenever I would touch a wire, I'd use a non-metallic gizmo to pick it up instead of my hands. To this day I'm STILL cautious even though none of my cats now chew on wires

Hi pyewacket:) I jsut don't understand why they chew on those things. My cat missy likes to chew on cords and strings, especially on coats or a string on the floor and eat it,but has never touched the wires for electricity/computer wires. My brothers cat tobby does, wow!he has replaced alot of wires for his computer and has put a gate so tobbu cannot go in the room(his room).I don't blame you for being cautious!I would too. that was in my grandmothers house, there the swith of calling bell outside the door was not in order. i thought there was no electrical flow. i opened it and saw there was a simple thin plate open which be touched if someone swith the button. i opened the button and touched the plate with my finger and suddenly it was seems me that someone struck or hit me with a huge bamboo in my leg and just i fall down and distouched my hand from the plate automatically. but the invasion of electric in just 3 seconds in my body just shaking my all of my parts especialy my hearts as its beat was just then fouth fold bigger....

Oh yes, I have been shocked electrically several times. Ofcourse, it hurts me and it does with everybody, i suppose. The recent one was, when I was keeping my hand on the UPS for the support and trying to connect the speakers to the flex box with the other hand. The UPS shocked me, i never expected it would ever do it. Computer parts shock me often.

I got shocked when I was about 4. I think I was trying to unplug my sega game set adaptor from the electric socket when it happened. It was minor but to a four year old with a low pain threshold, it was major lol. Another time was when I used my sister's laptop. I believe it was due to the static but I kept getting minor shocks as well. Ahh c'est la vie!

oh yes. i got electricuted a few times. The first experience i had with electricity was whem i was around 12 years old. I was experimenting then of how to make a electric bulb. I short circuited the wires and then boom... i got electricuted. My whole body was numbed. After that i stopped playing with ac. When i reached college i took up electrical engineering, simply because i was facinated with electricity.

I don't ever remember being shocked from a socket or anything like that but I was shocked by an electric fence quite a few times as a child. We had a couple of strands of electric fencing around our pastures. They buzz on and off, if you time it just right or are just plain lucky you can get under them without getting shocked. I don't know why we didn't just use the gate! Probably because we were kids..that sense of adventure!
