A story on my local TV news brought out the fact today that the members of law enforcement in many communities are outgunned by the criminals because the criminals often have weapons that are superior to those of the officers. I don't know about anyone else, but that does not leave me feeling very well-protected. I am wondering if this situation is a direct result of the lax gun control laws that most states have. What are your opinions about this?

It leaves me feeling very protected thank you very much. I don't prefer to live in a police state, and that's what it will become when nobody but cops are allowed to carry weapons. But if you are a christian and feel that everyone is their brother's keeper then you would probably fit right in a society like that.
