When you aske someone like "If you are in stuck in an island, what three things will you bring with you?", a lot of people would include their cellphones. Personally, I can't last a day without having my cellphone. why do you think it is so important to people?

Because it is the fastest way of communicating nowadays.. and it is more handy than the classic phones we have at home. And for emergency purposes.

I dont know. I guess on a deserted island that would mean some hopes of getting rescued if you can get a signal *haha* I CAN last without my cellphone and I try to leave it at home every once in a while just to remind me that life goes on. Just think back a few years - it was not as wiedly spread back then as it is now!

I think cell phones are a priority to people because we have learned that behavior. I bet you could live a day without your cell phone, if you tried. People now days think they have to be connected all the time. I think we would have less health problems and other issues if we all put the cell phone away for one day per week and slowed down a bit. My husband and I turn off our phones about once per month- all the phones. It's nice to just focus on our family unit during that time. Believe it or not, the other people can wait.

for me.. cellphone is very important in communicating our parents, freinds and others.. if for example you are stuck on a place where you dont know where you are and you want to communicate with your parent's, how would you communicate them? isn't it through cellphone?if doesnt know their contac numbers only registered in your phonebook.? that's why cellphone are always there for the people to communicate..
