I've met most of my friends online, actually. We met through an online RPG group, and then got together in real life. A year later, we were living together as housemates! It really worked out well. I haven't had much luck with dating people I meet online, though.

Yes, I met my husband from online. We first met in a chatroom, then did the long distance thing for a year. We logged lots of computer time, hundreds of hours of phone time, and sent pictures back and forth. I moved across the country after a year to be with him. That was 7 years ago. We have been together ever since, and got married in August of 2005. :)

Yes, I've met several of my online friends from Pogo.com and one from Slingo.com. By starting up a Spring Reunion for grads of my high school, I also got to meet grads from many other years that I had chatted with online. That is a lot of fun.

Yeah I've met people online, on the first time it's usually on a public setting so that it wont be dangerous or something. Then they instantly became my friends. The funny thing is that, some of them are quite different from the person you imagine them to be. but all is cool! :) +
