What do i do when my dog bites a relative of mine? It started biting other people when i first brought him home. I am in the process of training him myself. I want to train him my self because i want him to learn which is family and which is and enemy. I did it to my last dog. On my old dog i tak enemy and it would attack them if they were tresspassing. Please Help because i dont want him to bite other people when i tell them not to. If you need training tips please ask because ive trained 3 of my dogs. English springer spaniel, Pitbull, and right now i have a rot. They get to big so fast and dont know when to listen. I give him some food it dont like when he doesnt listen and it help. But i am not starving him to death though. Try that it may work it may not work. Buy the food from a pet store. The healthy food that the vetranarians recommed. because your dog may live longer.

The problem isn't the dog - large dogs have a tendancy to try & push the limits & see what they can get away with - you need to be the pack leader & show him you're the boss. They need to be taught from young & you need to be able to keep to a strict routine & discipline when needed. I don't mean hitting the dog because that's just cruel - i mean, noises work - roll up some newspaper & hit it on a chair, table or the floor whenever the dog bites or gets too rough, you also don't want to encourage a dog to be aggressive towards other people (non-family members) because if that dog ever does anything to anyone - he could be destroyed. We have 5 dogs now & have had others before this, patience, routines & praise when they are good are the best ways to teach a dog. Biting & chewing i have found comes from boredom, so make sure he has a LOT to play with - big dogs need more stimulation. Teach him general commands - then you will have better control - Sit & Stay are the best ones. Make sure that he is socialised with other people & dogs from young too - that will help! Good Luck!

Oh, 1 more thing, you don't wanna be giving your dog food from a can - i know it's convenient but still - vets always say, only feed your pets what you would eat. I make my dog's food every night, it consists of pasta, vegetables & either meat scraps or minced meat - try it, you'll have a healthy, happy dog - i promise! Bones on occasions are excellent too!
