I read an interesting quote today: "Whenever you do a thing, act as if all the world were watching" Thomas Jefferson
So I wonder, do you try to live your life this way?
I do try, but I'm not always successful. I think the choices we make when no one is looking might be more important than the choices we make when we are in the spotlight.

I've given up trying to give the world what it wants. Now I'm working on me and my family! lol. Stuff what society expects of me, I'm too tired these days! lol.

I hear you there! I think that this quote, though, doesn't mean doing what society wants. I think it means that we should act the same way in private that we would in public. It's about integrety.

So true. But we do! lol. The way we are at home is how we are to the real world. I just never realised until a few weeks ago that the real me is out there for everyone to see any way!

You are right about the way we are at home is how we are in the real world. Well, I strive for that to be true, anyway. I don't like being fake and try not to worry about impressing anyone. I figure if I like me there is bound to be someone else who does, too, just the way I am.

we sometimes need quotations like this to be reminded of our actions everyday. anyway, we are not perfect to be always perfect in the eyes of others. for me, i do things to the fullest and best as i could to satisfy myself and not others.

Satisfying yourself and not others is always important. I have made some of the worst decisions of my life trying to please someone other than myself. This quote was good for reminding us of our everyday actions. Of course we are not going to be perfect, but it's good to question if we are acting in a way that we would be proud of if someone saw us.
