Off-season: Craig Monroe trade

So what do you think of the trade for Craig Monroe? I heard today that the trade isn't final unless Monroe is willing to take a paycut to come to Minnesota, but I'm still a little surprised by the whole thing. It could be a good move if he can get his performance back up to par after last season. The fact that he and Torii Hunter are good friends was kind of exciting for me, but the story I read today clued me in to the fact that Torii would not see Craig's addition to the team as any reason to stay. I agree with him, but I guess I still have my hopes up for him staying on as a Twin... What are your thoughts?
