Hi..can vegetables grow inside..and are they really restricted to seasons..and if so why? What vegetables if any can grow inside.. I remember trying to grow cucumbers form a pot..well.. I let my kittys out and ..they romped right over my seedlings coming out and my tomato shoots.. What do you think..is it possible to have a garden. ..hanging around inside the house??

I don't think so...maybe you need to put fence or maybe net to protect your seedlings. I saw a little garden inside the house it's just so happen that their kittys stay away from the garden.

Nice that the cats stay away from that inside garden..My kittys love to romp and at times when I go on the porch to look outside they have to follow behind me ..thinking they might miss something.

Absolutely! They may not thrive like they would outside in the summertime, but I've grown tomatoes and peppers inside without problems. They may be small and it takes awhile to fully grow, but it's possible! They just need sun and water. Give them that and they will produce for you. I recommend a "mini greenhouse" style for seedlings. I put a cover over them, with some holes so the air circulates- not only does it protect them from cats but they seem to grow faster with the added humanity! You just have to keep an eye on them so they don't overheat. I just now noticed this discussion is 4 years old! Did you ever grow vegetables inside? How did they grow for you?
