Is that you are you always saying to your boyfriend or husband turn down the tv. I go to bed before my husband and I always have to have it real quite and dark in order to get to sleep. But everynight I have to yell from the bedroom Please turn the tv down. I think he is hard of hearing I really do. Share with me does this happen to you or vice versa?

I used to have the same problem... but now, I just walk over to the tv before I go to bed and turn it down myself! lol! Honestly! Even turning it down just a little bit helps a lot because the wall to our bedroom is right beside the wall with the tv on it. Hubby can sleep through anything, so he doesn't care if it's really loud when he's taking a nap on his recliner! lol!

Hi TerryZ! I usually do ask my husband to turn the volume down as I am the first one who usually go to bed. It is always like that each night but when i ask him to turn it down and he does it everytime I ask him to. I just don't understand why he has to wait for me to ask. haha...But when he is not home for the night, I miss him watching and me asking him to turn it down. haha.. Take care and have a nice day. :)

Hi Terry, I think the only time the tv is too loud in our house is if a football game is on. I dont ask, I just turn it down. lol We usually go to bed at the same time, its rare one of us stays up. And then we sleep with the tv on for a little bit then. I cant really go to sleep unless I have something to lie there and listen too. Otherwise Ill keep myself up thinking of other sh!t. lol Bay Lay Gray xx

i have this problem with my boyfriend as well. The only thing about it is that it isn't just a TV show he s blasting its him playing Guitar Hero with the surround sound on at the same time. It sound slike I'm trying to sleep in the middle of a rock concert. I get so mad that I eventually just get up and turn the television off in the middle of his game and tell him to go to bed. No wonder he thinks I'm hateful. :)

My husband is around heavy and loud equipment all night so he has lost alot of his hearing. I went with him to the ENT and they sent him for a hearing test. The Dr said that the part of his hearing that he has lost will not be helped by a hearing aide. He cannot hear high pitched noices......like womens voices. LOL i was there when they told him this. Now I dont stand a chance.......he can ignor me and he has an excuse. LOL

Hi Terry, I too often have to ask my hubby to please turn down the television! For some reason they always have to have it loud, it even seems at times like they are in their own little world too! If you ask them something you mide as well pull up a chair because you will be waiting for a WHILE to get an answer lol. Luv & Hugzz, PurpleTeddyBear

When my hubby watches TV in the living room he has it on stereo and it is loud, sometimes I do go in there and tell him to turn it down, and when he comes to bed he always puts the TV on. He works nights so I am sleeping when he comes to bed. It use to wake me up when he would put the TV on but now I don't even wake up. I guess I'm just use to it.:)

Hello dear TerryZ. TV doesn't bother me if I want to sleep when it is played in our own house. But if the sound of TV is heard from next door, it bothers me. I don't know why. Thanks, friend.

hi terryz. lol! I guess you can say, I'm the one being told to turn the volume down by my husband, when he's ready to sleep for the night. So, that's why I keep my earphones handy especially when my favorite movie is being shown on tv. But this husband of mine, have so many things to complain about. I'm already wearing my earphone and he couldn't even hear a single sound, but he will still complain that he's having difficulty trying to sleep because of the flashing lights of the tv!Grrrr! Oh, by the way, we have a tv inside the bedroom.

I have that problem too, but it is very annoying because when commercials come on, the TV gets even louder. Even when I am still up watching TV with him, I have to tell him to turn it down when the commercials come on. I don't think he's hard of hearing, I think he just doesn't want to be bothered to turn it down and then turn it back up when the commercials are over. It should be illegal for TV stations to do that with the volume.

yes. We put our matress on the living room floor since we don't have cable in the bedroom. I go to sleep first and I hate falling asleep with the tv on cause i have a hard time falling asleep. He however has to have it on to fall asleep. So it takes me a while to finally fall asleep after putting pillows over my head and tossing and turning.

Every night! He can sleep with lights on and when it's noisy so it doesn't bother him a bit. I can't seem to get him to understand what dark and quiet means.

I usually go to bed before him also, I'm also usually the first one up in the morning. But, I don't have to yell for him to turn down the tv, he usually does that without me saying a word, out of respect and thoughtfulness
