I need some ideas to help my children keep their minds off the fact that he is gone and to pass the time until he returns. Thanks in advance!!

A lot of areas have groups for kids who parents are away. My son goes to a group called Rainbows, where he does activities and discussions with other kids about how he feels and how to deal. His father is in the service too.

Not sure, he's ex-military turned contractor. He doesn't get a date like others do. He goes and then comes home when his job is finished.
