Your problem is the integrated graphics card. It isn't good enough to play the games. There are 1 or 2 that can be used but then you need more RAM and a faster CPU. You're laptop is just not powerful enough to run the game. I'm surprised you can run what you put on there. My old computer was 2.8Ghz with 500MB of RAM and it ran the game with the first 3 expansions but it was so choppy I could barely stand it. It would freeze up for 30 seconds at 7am and 7pm in the game and I couldn't play a 2 story house or it made the game almost unplayable (very slow). I got a new computer last year. It is 3.0Ghz duo core processor on it, 2gigs of RAM, graphics card with 250MB of RAM on it and a 500gig hard drive and the game sails through but the graphics card I have won't allow me to have more then 2 guests and wouldn't let me change some settings (like it wanted me to play in 600X800 resolution which is huge, lol) so I've had to use cheats to get around it. I would suggest picking your favorite EP and just sticking with that. Your only other option is to get a new computer. Laptops are harder to find with separate graphics cards and seem to overheat pretty easily while running the game with all EPs. Good luck.

Wow! For me, I think that your computer is way enough to play The Sims2 with a lot of expansions! 3GHZ processor, 2GB RAM and a independent graphic card! How come you can't change the setting? With my specs, I can play in 1024x768 resolution! I admit that I have the same problems like yours, the game don't run very smoothly.. But I think it's still ok to play! Yap..you're right..for now I should just pick my favorite expansions to play, but sooner or later I must get a new computer for the game.=)

There really is nothing wrong with the computer. I love it and it runs the game pretty fast. There is only a slight delay when it changes from night to day and I can have really big houses again without it being so slow I can't play. There was just the problem with the graphics card. It was a newer one when I got the computer and for some reason the game didn't recognize it. I had to go to the Sims 2 website and someone posted how to go in and change the way the game finds the graphics card. See it didn't recognize my specific card so it used settings for a different one--one that wasn't very powerful which canceled all my settings except 600x800, lol. It is fixed now and I can play in any resolution. I do have to plug in a code to get more guests over for a party which is annoying. I taped the code to my desk so I don't have to go online and look for it every time I play. The game runs fine with 20 or more people on the lot.
