I for one do not like snakes. A frog is OK but when it comes to snakes I am phobia. I can not even see on the telly a snake without shaking of fear. I wonder why, I have never ever seen a snake in the real life. I have never ever met one. And yet I am scared to death thinking about meeting anyone. I am glad that I live in a area in our global world that do not have so many types. And the only one we have that are poisoned lives in the forests. During the years this fear have getting worse, as a kid I loved being in the woods and pick mushrooms and beers. I could even go in the forest without shoes. But today I rather stay away from the forest, only because of the fear meting a snake. I feel kind of sad because of that. Well, that´s my relationship with reptiles. What about YOU????

I have no problem with reptiles. I love snakes, and use to have one. My ex and I had a 12 foot boa, that unfortunately, he kept when we split up. My son is in the process of getting a baby cornsnake, and I'm actually really excited to play with it ;) My other son is getting a bearded dragon, and that doesn't bother me either. Lizards of any kind really don't bother me, although I'd much rather have a snake. I've never understood why people are afraid of them, or grossed out by them. It's just social stigma. They're not slimy, or vicious, or anything that most people believe they are. They're lazy, curious and overall enchanting.

Hello and god evening. Thank you for responding. Well I know that some do actually like to have them as pets. I can not just believe it. But do not judge anyone for doing that. My fear is about getting bitten by a snake. The pain and the bite it selfs scares me more than the snake does. But I do not really understand it my self, since I never have met anyone of those animals. god luck with the snake

Most snakes, especially those that are kept domestically, don't bite.

yeh I hate snakes too, frogs and lizards are ok but I think snakes should be left alone in their own little habitat, I like to hear of them being killed but so lone as they stay away from me then it is ok.

Yes, I feel exactly the same. They can be left alone, in their own world. Why should we bother them as long as they do not bother us. Though I hear sometimes about the snakes that bother people in their homes. You know, There is a place on this earth I never ever will explore....Australia. They have snakes, spiders and scorpions, all poisoned animals who can kill you. I will never ever put my feet's on the ground there. Thank you for respond. Have a great evening

Piston - This is my Bearded Dragon Piston.
Im the opposite. I love them. I own a Lizard even. He is a Bearded Dragon named Piston. We have had him almost 2 years now. He is a very good pet, dosent bite, dosent smell, dosent make noise. You can hold him also. I catch all kinds of things like reptiles, snakes, frogs and show them to my children. We learn about them and then let them go. Its a great way to get kids to appreciate nature and its beauty. And the relationship between man and animal. Here is a pic of my dragon Piston.

What a nice picture. I have no strings to lizards, as long as they stay where they should. I even like to watch TV about var an´s. But snakes, oh no, never ever. It´s really stupid I guess, since I never meet them in person. Thank´s for the respond, and god luck with your Lizard

I think reptiles are quite fascinating. I'd love to have a corn snake and maybe some smaller lizards. But then again I do like just about all animals. The only type I got a problem with is spiders, can't even touch those no matter how small they are.

I like reptiles and amphibians. I have two pet frogs, both of which are fairly large. My pac man frog is large and aggressive, and will eat fish as large as his own body. I have a pet snake, it is harmless and fairly small. I would like a savannah monitor, if you have ever seen those. They are all cool animals, although not your regular furry pets that you can cuddle with. Don't worry about most snakes, as most will hear you coming and take off. Of course, that is just in my country, u.s.
