Some of you may remember when I was torn between going to my girlfriends or my cousins for Thanksgiving dinner. I talked to my cousin this morning and told her I had an invite to my girlfriends. She said she would miss me if I didnt come to her dinner. So I said fine I will come to your house for Thanksgiving but Christmas Im going over my girlfriends. She said oh thats fine. Im glad I got that figured out. Now where are you going or are you cooking?

Hi Terry,
As you know we already had our Thanksgiving here in Canada in October! I like that we have a "month off" so at Christmas I'll be ready for turkey again! I hope that you and all of the other MyLotters who are possibly reading this have a great, happy, and safe Thanksgiving!
Luv & Hugzz, PurpleTeddyBear.

Our Thanksgiving was awesome! My mom, brother, and gramma came down to our place for Thanksgiving! I didn't get to cook all that much though because my mom and gramma took over my kitchen :( It was nice that my gramma got to meet her great grand daughter though :)

Holidays get really complicated with mixed families. I have lived with my boyfriend for 2 1/2 years, 1600 miles from my family. We have gone to his parent's the past two Thanksgivings and it was great, he also has a daughter that is 13 and she has been with us. However, this year, I brought up the idea of us having my oldest daughter (she lives 6 hrs away) and her husband ( just got back from Iraq) here for Thanksgiving and she and I would do all the cooking ( have to admit I miss the smells of my mom's kitchen). I sent this idea to him in an email while we were at work, he also got an email from his daughter, saying 'we are going to grandma's house, right'. So he suggested that I could have them here, and he and his daughter could go to his parents'. At first, I was very upset, since he sees his parents at least 3 times a week, and I see my daughter about 3 times a year, but I wanted to be with him too. Well, it all worked out, my daughter and her hubby are coming here, he's taking his daughter to his parent's house and then we'll all have the rest of the long weekend together. Guess that's what it's all about, compromise.

I sure am glad you got it all settled..We will be having Turkey Day right here. My hubby cooks every year....Other than my daughter who does her own turkey, I don't have any other family to invite over or vice versa...Where is the time going?

This is gonna be my first thanksgiving and we would stay at home, i would be cooking. My fiancee mother is coming. She wanted to go somewhere out to restaurant for dinner, but i think since it is my first one, we should stay at ome and prepare our own food. I don't know what i am gonna cook yet, but it would be probaly mixed menu. I would cook soemthign from my country and my fiancce soemthing from usa.
