Scout claims that "Dill could tell the biggest ones" meaning lies, that she's ever heard. Why might he have told such lies?? I asked my Enlgish teacher, and she said she really didn't know... I'm curious now.

he was trying to fit in wiht scout and jem and act cool i suppose, he lied about having a father and a family, everyt time he came to maycomb he had a new father. He probably said this because it was 'a source of shame' not having one.
