I dont mean a murder or anything serious like that. I mean have you ever maybe witnessed a fight or someone stealing? I have seen servral fights over the years so serious other not so serious. When I was about 22 I saw a young man getting beat up by several other boys and there were weapons involved. It was the middle of the night and I saw it out my bedroom window. I did end up calling the police when I saw blood pouring from the boys head. So I was wondering if you witnessed a not so serious crime would you report it?

I've seen a fight when I was around 13. My dad has this land at out native place that is used to grow coconuts. Well, my uncle takes care of this place (because we were abraod...but at that point I was there visiting). But most people there didn't know that. So, some young guys (around 18-20 yrs of age) were stealing some coconuts. Someone informed my uncle and he went across to ask them about it. Even though I was asked not to go, I took a short cut to the place and saw these guys beating up my uncle. I threw a brick at one of them and ran all the way back home yelling on top of my voice to get some people. By the time I got a few people to help my uncle, the fight was all over (so much for my running..lol) and the guys had run away. Apparently, my uncle had given them a few good blows too (which I missed watching). Atleast, the brick I threw hit one of the guys!

If I witness a crime, I would report it right away. I did report drunk driver, I was afraid that he can kill someone. He was driving in fanny zing zag, so I noticed that is drunk or sick and need to be pulled for the street...

I lived on a busy corner in Chicago where I could look out my window most nights and see the local gang harassing people who walked by. I never saw them doing anything real bad, or I would have told my parents to call the police. One night, my dad saw a woman grabbed by some guy and dragged toward the alley, and he ran out and yelled at the guy to stop, and the fellow ran off, leaving the woman a little shook up, but unharmed. She was very thankful, and she became a pretty good friend of the family. We all got in the habit of looking out for her as she was returning home the same time every night from her waitressing job.

Hi Lifez2short! You didi the right thing by calling the poloice because somehow it can have prevented for probably the young man being killed or beaten more. However, the only crime I have witnessed was when a young boy is shoplifting some little stuffs that we are selling in our store years ago. My husband caught him and he talked to him and in some way threatened him that he will bring him to the police. The boy apologized and said he will never do it again. Well, we didn't really bring him to the police. My husband just tryied to scare him big time and talked to him about the bad things that would happen if he continue doing that so that he will think twice if he is planning to do it again. I just hope he had taken my husband's advice. Take care and have a nice day. :)

No I don't. I actually wish I was there when my pets were abused, so I know what the abuser looked like, track him and kill him with my own bare hands if I can't stop him hurting my pets. Unfortunately it was my mom and as usual she was only strong to us, and weak to others. Not a personality I am proud of, since even if she couldn't do anything she could at least report them. If I did witness something like that and I can't help, I will report them for sure.

I think I would report it if it was in my neighborhood. I have never had to though but if I did, I would.

When I was in high school, I spent a lot of time with the 'bad group' - a bunch of girls who would always steal, throw rocks etc at people's windows, and pick fights with people who they thought were weaker than them - while I never actually engaged in any of these activities (I did steal a necklace once, but soon regretted it), I didn't do anything to stop them, because I honestly thought that it was easier to be with them, than one of the people on the outside, which makes me just as bad, really. Needless to say, I soon saw the error of my ways, and now I'm more than happy to be my own, law-abiding person. I am glad I witnessed all these things, though, as I learnt how to stick up for myself soon enough!
