I love to learn French. In fact, I bought myself a couple of "learn French in 7 days" books. That was months ago. Any ideas how to expedite the learning process?

I think that with internet you got many ways to fight off the boring process of learning a new language Immersion is always the easiest and fastest way Now with internet you can try to go to French chatrooms and converse with French people ... also there are some interactive lessons depending on your level, go to French sites, watch French movies, listen to Frecn songs, radio and so on.. as much as you can Maybe you can also try to find a "French Club" for foreigners like you who are learnig French it can make it more playful And finally Bon Courage!

Yes, the internet helps. Try to find a French online "penpal" to share emails with in French (or half/half in the beginning stages. :)) Or even send letters in the mail if you like with French people. Immersion helps. ;)

I found the best and fastest way to learn French. I went to Quebec found myself a sweet French-Canadian girl and married her. I still butcher the language but I did pass a literacy test in French and am able to communicate pretty well as long as the person I'm speaking with is a little patient.
