I am currently pregnant and each time i go to the doctor they tell me that im anemic that i have to double up on my prental vitamins and get more iron into me. My doctor told me to go out and purchase some flinstone vitamins to take along with my prenatl ones. Well i thougt about it and i was thinking if im anemic then there is a big possiblylity that my daughter could be as well because we eat the same things its just her and i home at night for dinner so what ever we eat is the same and nothing too fancy. so i went out and bought lots of foods with iron and i also went out and purchased aother supplemetn iron vitamin for myself. But then i went and got her her own vitamins. She takes them on a daily baisi with her breakfast and i thought she was going to fight me on it but she actually is the one that reminds me everymorning mom dont forget my vitamin! Does your children take daily vitamins? Do you request that they do? do they fight you on it? what kind of vitamin do they take? My daughter likes the disney princess ones and the zoo animal ones.

Hi & Hello, beutfulmama6701. Previously I gave vitamin supplement to my children. But when my youngest son (11 years old) was suffered for asthma, fortunately there was a homeopathy practitioner advices me to take original honey and not the bi-product of it. So my kids enjoying taking that original honey from one honeybee of hive bee farming. And now my youngest son free from asthma. No more for vitamin supplement. HAPPY DAPPY.

My boys did take them but were getting black lines down there teeth. Couldnt brush them off. Looked like they drew a line down each front tooth. I asked the doc and he said they must be getting enough in there diet and by giving them the vitamin I was giving to much. I quit giving them to them and the lines went away. They wer always good about taking them and would also remind me.

My son takes one every day. The doctor actually had me start him on them when he wouldn't take his formula anymore because he wasn't a year old yet and she wanted to make sure he was getting what he needed since he wouldn't drink the formula. He weaned himself off the bottle at 10 months. All he would drink is regular milk out of a sippy cup. So she told me to give him the regular milk and 1/2 of a vitamin. He's 18 months old now and he has lots of teeth so I give him those gummy vitamins cause he can chew them up pretty good and he actually likes taking them.

My child took vitamine when he was a before ten and then no more after. It seems that my kid needed vitamine as a child, but now as things are going on well, he takes no more vitamine.

My children did not always take supplement for vitamins every day, but I try to give them fresh fruit juice mixed every day. And they like it. I think that's better than the supplement since it is also contains lots of vitamins. Just when they are sick I give extra vitamins for them to take.

Yes, my baby takes vitamins daily... it is a must especially when they are still very your and are very choosy with food... you are also correct in thinking that there is a high possibility that the baby you are carrying has the same ailment that you have right now... it is a must that when we are pregnent... we keep healthy so that the baby inside our womb will also be healthy... Good thing that you decided to perk up your diet... my baby takes Tiki Tiki plus... the flintstones vitamins are not yet advisable for her...

My daughter was born 12 weeks early and only weighed 2 lbs 1 1/2 ozs at birth. They started giving her liquid vitamins in the NICU and she was sent home taking vitamins. It is called Poly-Vi-Sol with Iron. It comes in a liquid form and she has to take 1 ml. It taste really gross (I guess from the iron) so I mix it in a small bottle of juice. She doesn't seem to mind it then. I remember as a kid I used to love taking Flinstone vitamins. They were so yummy like candy. I hope you have a good pregnancy. Take care. :)

My son is a pretty good eater, so he doesn't take a vitamin. I was anemic during pregnancy and had to take an iron supplement as well as my prenatal vitamins. It happens often in pregnancy because any iron you take in goes directly to the baby first, since they need a lot. When they are born they have stores of iron to last several months. Your daughter is not necessarily anemic even with eating the same foods, because it is the pregnancy causing it in you. If you are worried about it, talk to her pediatrician. As long as you offer her a well balanced menu, she is probably fine.

Both of my kids take vitamins I usually just buy the flinstone ones I can get a big bottle and they can both take one a day out of it. They don't always eat like they should so I make sure they get a vitamin so they are getting the nutrients they need they also help them to stay healthy.
