Booker T in TNA

What do you all think of Booker T leaving WWE to go to TNA? I don't really know yet because he's just getting involved. I have to say I'm somewhat surprised because I thought he would have retired and focused on his promotion more. I wonder if this could lead to something to the effect of his promotion becoming what OVW is to WWE and that's a development promotion. I don't think that would be a bad thing by any means as it can help develop talent and that's something I would really like to see TNA get. Anyway, back to Booker T. I still am surprised he came there but at least he's not King Booker at all. I don't think there was much he could have done with it over there and in general. If anyone asks why he was able to go by that, it has something to do with it being apart of his actual name so there was nothing WWE could do about that. How far do you see him going and could it possibly work out for the best that he gets the job done and becomes TNA Champ? He would be the 1st legit WWE, WCW, and TNA World Champ possibly since he did hold the WCW Title and did hold the WWE World Title as well. It's a shame he never got the WWE Title or really for that matter got many chances at that belt. Any Booker T fans and will he be able to prove he's still got something left and is going to put the focus on his TNA run instead of taking shots at WWE indirectly? I personally would hope so and would rather not see shots about it. What's in the past can stay there to be honest. That said, who all would you like to see him face off with? I wouldn't mind him facing off with Joe, Styles, and just about anybody he's never faced before as I think they can turn out to be pretty good matches.

Yes, I was surprised to see that he was actually the man that was being considered as a surprise going into Genesis, but the whole answer was pretty much there, given that TNA decided to give off exact clues that would lead to the exact answer - which is cool, but I would have much rather have waited and done some other form of hype that would have some clue be impossible to find. The internet undoubtedly puts a huge amount of pressure on the sports entertainment world with all the spoilers and whatnot, and you would concur with this if at one certain point in your life you found yourself to believe that you're the biggest wrestling fan in the world and would have absolutely no idea who would win a certain main event championship match - which I consider to be the glory days of professional wrestling but that, of course, isn't the case anymore - and soon thereafter, you no longer basically give a darn as to what will happen next, who will win, what's the "major announcement" and whatnot. I'm not one to blame, but the internet has indeed ruined the magic of professional wrestling as the whole ideology of discussing just that among others just happens to magically "install" itself onto the brains of watchers, just as a virus would, but of course, on a computer. But with that being said and that aside, I'm hoping to see Booker T be used in the right, deserving form as I believe during his days of after losing the World title to Batista at the 2006 Survivor Series, were simply the same ones you'd see out of our everyday residential jobbers that are simply there to make the other guy "look good". But at this certain point and time, I can definitely see Booker one day carrying that TNA World Heavyweight title as he would definitely add on some prestige to it, given that he's been a titleholder 30 different times, so I've heard from none other than the two TNA announcers, those being Mike Tenay and Don West. Now, I'm no expert on wrestling as many internet wrestling fans would believe they are, but it does sound pretty convincing that he has achieved such a feat. Some matches that I would love to see out of Booker would be himself against Sting, AJ Styles, Tomko (who keeps getting better and better in my opinion), Ron "Truth" Killings, Christopher Daniels, and last, but not least, Samoa Joe. A match between Booker T and Samoa Joe would be nothing but a money-maker in my mind if worked out well if you actually do some thinking and see that both men have that potential chemistry between each other, and that's what's important as far as having those "unforgettable, memorable, one for the ages" type of matches go. It's only a matter of time until we start seeing some hints as to how the career of Booker T will head in TNA, and not only that - if he still has "it".

True, there are spoilers around but it comes down to making a choice. It's black and white on whether to look or not. If they don't want stuff spoiled like future storylines, then probably they need to be more tight-lipped if you know what I mean. He has done that believe it or not as far as a feat goes. He's a WCW Grand Slam Winner and I believe possibly a WWE Grand Slam Winner but I am not sure what the standards are sometimes. I think when I heard some of the clues on Impact, about a former WCW and WWE World Champion being Sting's partner, Booker was one of the names I thought of. I don't think you need spoilers to know what's going to happen. I go by patterns mostly.

I think it is Booker T decision but I would not like Booker T leaving WWE and going to TNA, I agree with you about that he should have retired and focused more on his promotion, but I don't think he would develop more talent changing to TNA, anyway i will going to enjoy a lot watching Booker T in TNA, you know that even if you are totally in agree you would get some great fun from it, I hope he does good and doesn't any problem there is a lot of problems when those changes come and I would worry about that but besides that it would be interesting.

It will be interesting to see what happens. What I'm thinking is possibly Booker moving towards eventually a teacher role getting talent ready for the big stage. I could see his promotion for some reason becoming apart of TNA. I think that would be good and if done right could be the best decision TNA's made in terms of expansion outside of gaining an extra hour on Spike TV.

I was surprised to see him on Impact! At least he is no longer King Booker! :)
