My daughter will be home for a few days and she has asked that I make riced potatoes at least once while she is home. I have a potato ricer and we love them made that way because they soak up the gravy and are so yummy. Do you make riced potatoes?

This is a new one for me. I have never heard of riced potatoes. Are they like mashed and how do you make them? I love mashed potatoes with gravy so this may be something new to try. Let me know more about what they are.

First you peel and boil the potatoes. Then you put them through the ricer...it's a different looking thing...it has a basket and the attached is a handle with a squisher on it.....LOL...anyway you load the potatoes in it and push them through what looks like a cheese grater.....they are fluffy...and soak up the gravy....very good. And different for a change.
